Een error die voorkwam na upgrade van de package (om Laravel 9 te ondersteunen).

Openssl 3 wordt nu gebruikt en de package verwacht dat legacy options enabled zijn.

Oplossing

Zoek en open de file /etc/ssl/openssl.cnf in je root folders.

//At the [default_sect] section change it to the following:
[default_sect]
activate = 1

[legacy_sect]
activate = 1

//Then find the [provider_sect] and change it to the following:
[provider_sect]
default = default_sect
legacy = legacy_sect
